It's entirely possible that I wrote this song somewhere between 2005-2012. I found a collection of maybe four A4 notepads full of lyrics and it's hard to set a date for them all because of ineffective referencing system.
What I do know about is that, the opening couplet is possibly about either a one night stand or falling asleep at a friend's house after a night out.
I also know that the threat of having my head shaved was in the lyrics because I had glorious curly hair. Now it's just a weekly occurrence.
I also got the "say goodbye to relationships" line from Sandy, Freddy Prinze Jr's character in Friends who talks about friendships being the only kind of ship that can't sink. I thought that was neat.
